Jason's Awareness Ride 3

Hey Everyone............... We have organized Jason's Awareness Ride for 2012. We are meeting at Magna Park Saturday Morning on August 18th. We are leaving the park at 10:00 AM sharp!! We will be heading up 201 to the belte route, up Parleys Canyon around to Morgan UT. We will be taking a break at the gas station in Morgan. I forget the name.......... Anyway, down East Canyon back to I-80 down 201 ending at the Magna Park for lunch and some fun activities for the kids............You don't need a motorcycle to join us, we have always had a few cars within our group. Or just meet us at the park for lunch at about 2:00 PM. This event is so important to everyone in Jason's family. We know it's not going to bring him back to us, we just enjoy meeting with everyone and hearing all the crazy memories that are shared or just answering questions that people may have. It's kind of like an extended family/friend reunion in Jason's memory. Every year I have the honor of meeting new people that either knew Jason, or they just want to come out and show their support........ It's a very difficult situation having a loved one murdered in such a horrific manner and living each day knowing that this evil sick person is still among us, free to go about every day as if nothing happened, As if Jason is still alive to share his kids graduation day, their wedding day, their joining the military, he was to young to die!! Family Organizes Event To Publicize 5 Year Unsolved Magna Murder

(KUTV) - Five years after her baby brother Jason Royter was stabbed to death in his Magna home, Stephanie Perschon feels confident police will solve the case one day. Meanwhile her family is doing what they can to call attention to the case, hoping to generate tips that will lead to the killer.

This Saturday, Stephanie and her family are planning a motorcycle and car ride in honor of Jason. They will gather at Murray Park at 1p.m. then ride to Copper Hills Elementary in Magna for a bar-b-que. They will also ride through the neighborhood where Jason was killed on August 6, 2005. The group will wear t-shirts that bear Jason's picture and the cars that participate in the ride will have flyers displayed in the windshield.

Stephanie wants to stir interest and emotions of people who might know something about the killer. "I believe there's more than one person that knows something. There's not just one person walking around with this secret." The ride is not meant to generate funds, just attention to the case.

Anyone with information on the murder of Jason Royter is asked to call the Unified Police Department.
